In the 21st century, it has become essential to start addressing the topic of digital inclusion and accessibility to ensure a safer and more considerate online learning environment. English Online had the pleasure to invite one of its veteran and committed volunteer e-tutors; Fiona Smith as a guest speaker. She shared some valuable information about how to be more inclusive and accessible in today’s digital world.

- learn how to be more inclusive and accessible to different types of online learners with a focus on newcomers
About the Presenter:
Fiona Smith holds a Master’s degree in Distance Education from Athabasca University. She is a Winnipeg- based equality, inclusion, diversity and accessibility consultant, writer and artist who has been a volunteer with English Online for the past 3 years. She values the time shared with her EO e-learners and the variety of lived experiences that they bring to their English language practice. She is also an international human rights advocate.
