Well, here we are in the dead of winter. The holidays and parties are done, but the days are still very short and cold. It is natural and very easy to feel a little unmotivated , “blah”, or sad, at this time of year, but it doesn’t have to be that way. We must realize that whether we allow ourselves to get into a rut, or if we have a great start to the year- both are choices that we make! We can make the decision to feel happy and positive, or to feel sad and negative.
On the other hand, if you continue to feel very sad for a long period of time and nothing you do helps you to feel better, you should see your doctor. You could be suffering from a serious, but treatable condition called Seasonal Affective Disorder, otherwise known as S.A.D. This week we have 2 feature videos. The first gives you information about S.A.D. The second has information for most people who just have the “winter blues”.
